These terms govern your use of the We Rides website, sign-up forms, and our Rider and Driver mobile applications, operated by We Rides Enterprise (Pty) Ltd ("We Rides," "we," "us"). By signing up or using our Services, you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to sign up as a rider or driver.
- Driver applications are currently open exclusively to women, as part of our safety-focused driver network.
- Driver applicants must hold a valid driver's license and provide accurate, truthful information and documentation.
2. Rider signups
When you sign up as a rider, you provide your name, contact details, and address or location. This information is used to set up your account, arrange pickups, and communicate with you about your signup and the app. Submitting the form does not guarantee immediate service availability in your area.
3. Driver applications
Submitting a driver application, including your license upload, does not guarantee approval. All applications are reviewed, and We Rides reserves the right to accept or decline any application at its discretion, including on the basis of the eligibility requirements above.
4. Accuracy of information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when signing up. Providing false information (including misrepresenting eligibility for the driver program) may result in your application being declined or your account being suspended or terminated.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use our Services for any unlawful purpose, to misrepresent your identity, or to attempt to interfere with the security or normal operation of our website or apps.
6. No guarantee of service
We Rides works to provide reliable, prompt trips, but ride availability, pricing, and timing can be affected by factors outside our control (traffic, weather, driver availability, and similar). We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, We Rides Enterprise (Pty) Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, except where such liability cannot be excluded under South African law.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our Services after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
